The Community Grocery, Kirkby-in-Ashfield is open for the people of Nottinghamshire and surrounding areas, helping to keep families fed and give members access to support too.

What is the Community Grocery?
A registered charity and CiC bridging the gap between food banks and supermarkets by redistributing surplus food to provide affordable weekly shops and support services.
How it works?
Small 12 Item Shop for £5
Medium 18 Item Shop for £7.50
Large 24 Item Shop for £10
XL 30Item Shop for £12.50
50p for each additional item on top of these shops.
How to sign up?
Membership is £5 for the year and all sign-ups are completed in person upon arrival.
Who can sign up?
Anyone that needs the extra support with their weekly food shop and who are feeling to impact of the cost of living crisis
Reducing Waste
By shopping at the Community Grocery, you are helping the environment as many of the items we redistribute can be short-dated or just passed their best before date, meaning they would have often ended up in landfill if we hadn’t rescued them. We also have items that have good dates on but would also of ended up in landfill.
