  • The Golden Number: a Golden Number (915 5555) has been set up in Nottingham City in order to get support for people who cannot get out to get their groceries or medication due to the need to be shielded or because they are self-isolating. Where we have local people who are self-isolating and need support? They can now call us if they don’t have trusted friends or neighbours to help with picking up and delivering their medicine, food and household supplies. Our Customer Hub on 0115 915 5555 is the Golden Number that can connect our vulnerable citizens to community support groups and neighbourhood volunteer teams. This Golden Number is open 9am-5pm Monday to Friday or help can be accessed via this link.   www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/coronavirus
  • Foodbanks - Please also make sure all foodbank enquires are to the Golden Number (see above) in the first instance and not directly to foodbanks as they risk being overwhelmed in coming weeks. This will enable us to relieve the pressure and refer appropriately. Additionally all food banks have gone from a collection to a delivery service because of the situation. To find food banks and social eating projects please visit - www.asklion.co.uk/food
