We are pleased to announce that CityCard cycles have returned to the streets of Nottingham. The bike hire scheme has received an upgrade since the cycles were last on our streets, so it’s now easier than ever to grab a bike and get pedalling!
The Council has sought best practice guidance about sanitising the on street hire bikes from other local authorities and the transport sector. Based on this, and taking into account the reduced level of use of the bikes, the frequency of cleaning of bikes and docking stations has been increased significantly to alternate days. Individual users are expected to follow Government guidelines in terms of washing hands / using hand sanitiser after using the bikes and not to touch their faces unless they have clean hands.
Day hire
Pick up a bike from one of the on-street docking stations from as little as £1. Prices are capped at £10 a day and you can hire a bike for up to 24 hours. All you need to do is register first on the City Card Cycles website. Please secure the bikes with the cable lock when docking the bike from rental.
To keep yourself and others protected, please do not leave personal PPE on the bikes at any time.
Due to a significant increase in demand for our hire bike service, combined with users not returning bikes on time and recent thefts, the number of bikes available to hire is lower than usual. We are working to replenish our stock as soon as we can and apologise for any inconvenience this might cause.
Ebikes
