Community Short Breaks - Home Care Services
Nottingham City Council have a framework of providers who provide personal and domiciliary care for young people with learning disabilities and/or physical disabilities.
Who are our services for?
Disabled children and young people aged 0-19 years old and require support in excess of a personal or domiciliary nature that their own parents are unable to fully meet.
What do we do?
We provide a comprehensive range of services to support carers and young people. These include
- Provision of a home care service that provides practical home care and/or personal care needs, this may include things like helping to get children ready for school or personal care in relation to a young person with physical disabilities or complex health needs.
- Enabling parents to provide care to younger siblings.
All carers are trained and Nottingham City Council require that any specialist training is also provided should the young person need this to ensure their safety and care and are able to mix and match packages of support to best meet the assessed need and families need.
