Aphasia Nottingham
Aphasia is a complex language and communication disorder resulting from damage to the language centres of the brain. This damage may be caused by:
- a stroke
- a head injury
- a brain tumour
- another neurological illness.
The aim of the group is to communicate in a supportive environment and give confidence to members. Many activities are held each month, as well as some social get-togethers, workshops and raising awareness of aphasia.
