Macmillan Information and Support Service

Macmillan Cancer Support and Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust have worked together to develop the Macmillan Information and Support Service, which has centres based at Nottingham City Hospital and Queen’s Medical Centre. The service is staffed by Macmillan Professionals who can provide information and support at any stage of your cancer journey.

We offer a free confidential service to anyone living with cancer, their relatives, friends and carers.

We can help with:

  • information and support on all aspects of living with cancer such as cancer treatment and its side-effects
  • emotional support as often as you need - no referral or appointment required
  • practical support
  • advice on benefits you may be entitled to claim
  • help with benefit and grant applications
  • information about money worries, including housing, pensions and insurance
  • access local services like support groups, counselling services and exercise programmes
  • Holistic Needs Assessments for Carers

The Macmillan Information and Support Service is a drop-in service, there is no need to book.

We can also provide information and support over the phone and via email or text.

No referrals are required. Simply call, text or email the Service to access information and support.
