Ashdale Care Home is situated close to Mansfield Town centre in a quiet cul-de-sac. The main road is the A60 going from Worksop to Nottingham and is on a main bus route. The town centre is within walking distance of the Home. Car parking facility is available in front of the home.
The property was built in the early 1900’s and was a private residence for the Evinson family, who owned a garage on Chesterfield Road for many years. It was then sold on in 1983 to be converted to a nursing home for the elderly and was called “The Park Nursing Home”. It changed hands once again and was bought by a group who added the first extension in 1987 and in 1988, under new ownership, was renamed Ashdale Care Home.

Ashdale Care Home is a dual registered home, offering both Nursing and residential care. It is registered with Care Quality Commission.
We provide a range of care:
- Nursing care (Long and Short term)
- Residential Care (Long and Short term)
- Respite care
- Palliative Care (end of life care)
Prior to admission we encourage prospective residents and their families to come and visit the Home. The manager or the Nurse in charge will discuss with you your needs and requirements and will tailor the care we can provide to your requirements. In all cases, we make sure that we are able to meet your needs.
If the prospective resident is not able to come and visit the Home in person, then family members or friends are invited to look round and discuss the care and facilities. In such instances, Matron or the Deputy will then either visit the prospective resident at home or Hospital and do a pre-admission assessment to see if the needs of the resident can be met by the Home. The resident is encouraged to come for the day and have a meal to see if the Home suits him or her.
