Independent Living for Asian Elders (Ashiana)
Ashiana
Ashiana, in Nottingham, provides independent living accommodation for Asian people aged over 55 years old, in a culturally appropriate environment.
How we can help
We will help you to plan the support you need to live independently. We'll help you find the appropriate services for welfare and benefit advice to gain confidence in accessing different support channels set up by the government. As well as helping to overcome existing difficulties, this often prevents new problems from developing.
Accommodation
Our 20 self-contained flats offer long-term accommodation for single people or couples. Each flat has its own bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom. There is also a fully-furnished communal TV lounge, plus a gym, gardens and relaxation room. Our communal kitchen has laundry facilities, and the building itself has a secure door entry system.
Our building has a lift, ramp access, and some of the bathrooms have been adapted to make them accessible to people with disabilities. We provide telephone support via our 24/7 contact centre, and we're close to local shops and the city centre.
