Chayah Development Project, Community Support
Chayah is a Outreach Community project that works throughout Nottingham City and county. We support young people and families/agencies to address breakdowns and develop a happy medium.
Areas of support:
Chayah Project - Delivers workshops alongside volunteers and agencies. The aim is to raise awareness on taboo topics to help break down stigmas and barriers that are associated with particular families and communities.
Boyz2Men - The aims of BOYZ 2 MEN is to Equip young men with essential life skills. Offer advise and support including parenting skills. Identify and address taboo areas (Mental Health, Drugs, Broken Families, The inner Me).
Crossing Boundaries - Address the territorial boundaries which affect our young people and their families.
Reach - Our REACH Programme is set up to engage with young women, girls and their families to work through life issues. Our focus is on targeted outreach support for young women and single mothers in the Nottingham city.
Sisters-in-Arms - We offer coaching and counselling sessions. This will be 1-1 as well as group sessions. This support group is set up with the hope that like minded women will be able to find a safe space to talk and share!!
HeadWize - We will provide flexible, person-centred, culturally sensitive one to one and group support services designed to tackle mental health and emotional problems, build awareness, tackle stigma and help find solutions.
Food Parcels - Chayah Project has been providing food parcels to our community for the last few years. We also try and provide essential non-food items like toiletries and hygiene products…
Hot Meals - Chayah now provides approximately 150 hot meals every Wednesday, thanks to our amazing volunteers and staff.
