Foodbank / Meals - St. Ann's - Chayah Development Project

Chayah Project has been providing food parcels to our community for the last few years.

We also try and provide essential non-food items like toiletries and hygiene products where we can from our donors.

We work with different partners across the city to make sure we are able to support as many families as we can.  We coordinate with different workers to identify people who need support. These professionals include local agencies like  DWP, local council, Social Care, youth centres, housing associations, advice charities, and mental health teams, who are best placed to assess needs and can then refer families or individuals to us. One can also self refer by contacting us.

We aim to  provide short-term, emergency support with food during a crisis and to try and relieve that immediate pressure by providing meals/food parcels/essential packs. Additional support  is also offered  when needed(please see our services) to try and provide a holistic approach to those in need.

Hot Meals

Since the pandemic, we started providing hot meals along with our food parcels.

Chayah now provides approximately 150 hot meals every Wednesday, thanks to our amazing volunteers and staff.

If you need some support or know of anyone who does, please feel free to contact us!
