Mental Health Supported Housing - Benedict Court
Benedict Court in Nottingham supports adult women with long-term mental health needs. We're based in Top Valley, and our female-only team supports vulnerable women with their mental health.
How we can help
Here at Benedict Court we provide long-term supported living accommodation and ongoing support to women with enduring mental health needs. Support can be provided in groups sessions, as well as on a one-to-one basis.
We encourage everyone who lives at Benedict Court to have a say in how our project is run, by taking part in regular group support sessions, activities and tenant update meetings. We value input from our residents, which helps us shape the project and support people in the best way we can.
At Benedict Court equality and diversity are important to us. We respect, embrace and celebrate our differences, and we work to make sure everyone feels included, respected and valued.
Everyone at Benedict Court has their own named keyworker, and they work to develop support plans and risk assessments around individual needs. We know that no two people are the same, and that makes a difference when it comes to providing support. We work with our residents to develop support plans that reflect individual needs, beliefs and values, and help women to develop life skills that support their independence, health and well-being.
Every month we carry out health and safety checks to make sure the flats are safe and secure. we've got a communal area where we host activities including coffee and cake afternoon teas, quiz nights, pampering evenings, plus games and crafts. Our monthly newsletter keeps people informed about what's coming up.
Accommodation
We have five self-contained flats, four of which are on the ground floor (those flats include a private garden space). The flats are furnished and have basic white goods/appliances. There are staff on site every day - residents will be made aware of when they are available. Out of hours, residents also have access to SMaRT, our 24-hour support service.
We're in a handy location for buses into Nottingham city centre, and out to Arnold and Bulwell. Our nearest shop is only a minute's walk away, and we've also got a big Tesco quite close by. If you walk to Rise park shops, it only takes 10-15 minutes, and you'll find a hairdresser, cafe, pharmacy and small supermarket. We've also got dentists and health centres within walking distance.
