Community Centers

Nottingham community centres are friendly, welcoming places at the heart of community life. They provide many opportunities to try out new activities, meet people with similar interests, and to make friends and get to know people in the local community.

Most community centres are managed and run by voluntary organisations (Community Associations), independently from Nottingham City Council. They provide a wide variety of regular activities, clubs, and social groups; covering many different interests, from arts and crafts to Zumba, from carpet bowls to yoga, and much, much more.

Most centres have rooms or halls available to hire, for activities such as meetings, training sessions, events, shows, or private parties. These might be available for community groups to hold regular activities; or for individuals or groups to hire for a special event or function. Some centres also have computer and internet facilities, bar or community café, or outdoor space.
