Balisier Court - Sheltered Housing

Whatever your current circumstances, if you are over 55, whether you rent or own your present home, you can apply to live in our sheltered housing. Interested applicants 40+ age, are welcome if they have a medical condition.

You will have your own spacious, self-contained apartment, specially designed with older people in mind. Your apartment will be equipped with a fitted kitchen and bathroom, digital television point and a 24-hour emergency call system should you need it.

Balisier Court delivers independence, choice and control for a diverse range of older people. We deliver a range of community and neighbourhood services that support older people at home, helping to maintain health and well-being. We work in partnership with you to ensure the services we provide are what you actually want. We create support plans tailored to the individual but has total input from the service user by way of choices and decion making.

Balisier Court offers 24 1-bedroom flats, communal lounge, laundry room and games room. There is also an assisted bathing facility.

The scheme is aimed at, but by no means exclusively for, elderly from the African-Caribbean community. Interested parties can: self -refer, refer through Advocacy, family or any other support service/agency eg, Social Services. Then complete an application over the phone, online or sent by post. Then be invited to visit the scheme on a tour-like basis.
