Mental Health Supported Housing (Midworth Street)

Midworth Street provides housing and support to vulnerable adults and adults with a mental health diagnosis in Ashfield and Mansfield.

How we can help 

At Midworth Street we aim to give you the skills, information and opportunities you need to gain independence. We'll help you develop independent living skills and manage your finances, as well as to access education and gain employment.

Everyone is different, and the team will tailor the support that you receive to make sure it's right for you. An individual support package will be developed with the emphasis on supporting you to develop your life skills, manage your own tenancy and move on to more independent living.

Accommodation

We have three shared houses at Midworth Street, providing a total of 13 individual bedrooms. Each has access to either a shared bathroom or shower, shared living room and shared kitchen facilities. The rooms are fully furnished. There is a communal garden, easy access to local facilities, and all accommodation is maintained to the highest standard.

Referral Details

Speak to your local community learning disabilities team or community mental health team if you think Midworth Street might be the right service for you. They can refer you to us. They will need to fill in a referral and assessment form.

Everyone is different and the team will tailor the support you receive. An Individual support package will be developed with the emphasis on supporting you to develop your life skills, manage your own tenancy and move on to more independent living.

What we will help you achieve

  • help in finding and applying for accommodation including setting up and maintaining a tenancy 
  • help with making benefit claims, budgeting and debt repayment plans 
  • dealing with housing officials and private landlords
  • developing your skills for independence (e.g. how to look after your house) 
  • getting out and about in the community 
  • keeping in contact with services such as social services and hospitals 
  • taking up education, training or employment opportunities
